Effective January 1st, 2026:
All premium deductions for Chubb’s LifeTime Benefit Term Insurance will come off of payroll.
Employees currently enrolled in the LifeTime Benefit Term (LBT) product and interested in maintaining their coverage will need to port their policies. This will require you to set up direct payments to Chubb, either on a monthly basis through EFT draft on a date of your choosing, or by check quarterly. Payroll will continue to be processed and paid through the end of December 2025.

Canceling your policy could expose you to potential state taxation if legislation is passed or if policy status is audited. Maintaining your coverage helps ensure compliance and may protect you from unexpected financial obligations. States that could be affected are WA, CA, CT, HI, KY, MD, MA, MN, NY, and VT.

To avoid a lapse in coverage, please contact Chubb promptly to arrange payment. Should the policy lapse, you will be required to reach out to Chubb directly to obtain and complete the necessary reinstatement documentation.
